Bringing Up Bates Carlin Bates Sobs Before Goodbye
Bringing Up Bates star Carlin Bates went to Instagram to share some emotions and a sad goodbye. The mother of three shares everything with fans, including changing her baby’s diaper. However, in her latest video share, Carlin was visibly very upset and crying. In the video, she’s holding her smallest child, Navy, who was born in September 2025.
She’s clutching her chubby little one and saying through tears that nobody ever talks about how difficult it is to leave your baby for the first time. Carlin went on to say that she knows she will be fine, but it’s her first time away from her since giving birth last year. At one point in the video, she said she didn’t think she could do it.
Finally, by the end of the video, Carlin stops crying and tells Navy she loves her so much and will be back soon. Why is Carlin telling Navy goodbye? Her caption explains the reason behind her tears. She shared that they are leaving the following morning to celebrate Zade’s birthday.
She said, “We’re supposed to leave in the morning to celebrate Zade’s birthday, and I’m so excited to have that one on one time with him 🎉 But also… this will be my first time leaving her and I’m a wreck. 😭 For six months, I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding, so we’ve basically been inseparable. I feel like no one talks about the reality of feeling so torn…”
She Revealed More Emotions
Carlin Bates also said in the caption that she knows Navy will be okay. She says Navy will be in good hands and very loved. Then, she admits again how hard it will be to be away from her daughter overnight when all her daughter only knows her as home.
Carlin went on to say that she is excited to spend time with their son Zade, but that in the moment, she’s also heartbroken. She concluded, noting that this is the wild side to being a mom.
