“My oldest brother, Matthew Brown, has passed away,” he continued.

Noah revealed, “I was there when we pulled him out of the river.”

Noah stated in an Instagram video that was uploaded later that day that the Brown family’s youngest son, who was featured on Discovery’s Alaskan Bush People, spent days looking for his older brother, Matt Brown, before his body was eventually discovered in a river on May 30. (His post was made after his sibling Solomon Isaiah “Bear” Brown, who had just posted an Instagram video confirming Matt’s death at age 42.)

Noah Revealed the Bad News In Emotional Video

“It’s late, and I have some bad news. … It’s been a long day,” Noah, 33, began in the emotional video. “For the past couple days, I’ve been working with search and rescue groups trying to locate the body. And today, the group that I was working with located the missing body, and I identified it as Matthew.”

“We hauled him up off the bank,” he said of his brother Matt. “And then, after the sheriffs got there and everything, the coroner did his thing, and I went down to identify that it was him. It’s definitely Matthew. His ID and Social Security card was on him, and I was able to visually identify that it was Matthew.”

Additionally, Noah stated in his video that he will keep posting on social media following the passing of his brother.

“I’m gonna do my best to continue doing my thing on TikTok because I’ve got a bunch of videos that I’ve been made to post, so I’m gonna try to get back to doing that when I can,” he explained.

“Anyway, it’s late. Say your prayers and tell people that you love that you love them while you can,” Noah concluded. “God bless, guys.”

Noah Thanked the People Who Helped Him

Noah then thanked the individuals who helped in the search for Matt’s body, including “some of the locals here in town.” Additionally, he expressed regret to anyone he was unable to personally notify about his brother’s passing. Noah started to get very emotional at times, and it seemed to be hard to call his brother by his name for the first half of the video.

“I’ve had a lot of phone calls I’ve been making to inform one and anyone that I haven’t been able to reach or didn’t have a phone number for, but knew Matthew personally, that finds out from this video, I am sincerely sorry that I wasn’t able to tell you personally,” Noah said in his video. “And for all the fans of the show and everything, I’m sorry that it came down to this of finding out.”

The youngest Brown brother said that, pending the coroner’s report, “more details,” including the cause of death, will be revealed at a later time.

Bear Brown Confirms Self-Inflicted

Bear, 38, previously stated that his family thought Matt, who was distant from his family and had a history of substance abuse, had committed suicide. Bear said it was a self-inflicted wound. With tear-filled eyes, Bear recounted what happened to his brother and how his brother Noah, found him.
