Happy Announcement 🥳🥳 This is what happened to Josh Efird after breaking up with Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon.

Josh Efird wasted no time moving on from his marriage to Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon.

The Mama June: Family Crisis star— who split from Pumpkin in August 2024 when she filed for divorce— welcomed his fifth child on May 1 with a woman named Breanna Godwin. The baby– a little girl named Sadie Mae— was born about five weeks premature and is reportedly still in the NICU.

Breanna posted photos to Facebook announcing Sadie’s birth. She tagged Josh in the post, and he is also shown in some of the photos holding his newborn daughter.

“Sweet Sadie Mae Efird is here!” Breanna wrote. “Born on 5-1-25 at 10:36 a.m. weighing 3 lbs. and 9 oz. and already kicking NICU butt. She’s doing so good to the point that me and daddy got to hold her today.”

 

 

As The Ashley previously reported, Pumpkin shocked fans when she filed for divorce from Josh in August after six years of marriage and four kids together. It was soon discovered that Pumpkin was dating Josh’s cousin, Darrin Kitchen, whom she’s still currently with. Josh began dating a woman named Keely, who, at the time was pregnant with (allegedly) Darrin’s child. (She has since had the baby and doesn’t appear to still be dating Josh.)

Josh and Pumpkin finalized their divorce in September, agreeing to joint legal and joint physical custody of their kids: Ella, Stella, Sylus and Bentley. (Because each party has joint custody, neither was awarded child support. Pumpkin and Josh agreed to equally divide any medical expenses for the children that are not covered by their health insurance, as well as any costs for school and/or extra-curricular activities.)

Baby Sadie’s birth was confirmed by Josh’s former mother-in-law, June Shannon, who stated that she and her family have a good relationship with Breanna. (This is apparent in the fact that Breanna is Facebook friends with Pumpkin, as well as her sisters Jessica Shannon and Alana Thompson. Breanna is also friends with Darrin…and Keely.)

In the comment section of YouTuber Elle Bee‘s Facebook post about the birth of Josh’s baby, June offered her thoughts on the family’s new addition and revealed why the baby’s birth weight was so low.

“Probably cause the baby was due June 11 so it was early n she was having some issues as she was put in the hospital trying not to have her early,” June wrote. “I mean it all publicly posted on Brianna’s page what she been going through and all we wish her the best of luck. We have been around her as a family [at] different times and she always been nice n talks to us n we the same to her.

“On a real side of thing keep Brianna and [them] in your thoughts cause it’s not fun time with a baby premature and in NICU,” she wrote, before mentioning that Sadie is her grandkids’ sister. “And for the babies as they get a new baby sister.”

It appears that 21-year-old Breanna also has a child of her own. Her daughter— also named Ella— was born in September 2022, just a few months after Josh and Pumpkin’s twins were.

The upcoming season of ‘Mama June: Family Crisis’— which premieres later this month— will cover the demise of Pumpkin and Josh’s marriage. It is unknown if Breanna has filmed for the show, or if Baby Sadie’s birth will be featured.

Last month, Breanna posted a video on TikTok showing off her baby bump and writing that the pregnancy “wasn’t planned.”

“But a blessing is a blessing!” she added.
