When we were recently told his liver was failing and treatment was no longer an option, our world changed. And yet, right in the middle of all that heartbreak, one of the happiest moments of my life happened. I got engaged to the love of my life, and we began planning our big wedding celebration for this September.”
“As my dad continued to decline and we were faced with the reality of hospice care, I came face to face with something I had never allowed myself to imagine. I could not picture a life where my dad was not the one to walk me down the aisle. So we decided to gather our immediate families and share a small, private ceremony together while we still could.” She continued

Kaybrie Shares her Special Wedding Day Moments With Her Dad
“On May 5th, my dad walked me down the aisle. It was simple, emotional and beautiful in a way I will spend the rest of my life trying to find words for. The next day he became unresponsive, and three days later he went home to be with the Lord.
There are no words for how thankful I am that God gave us that moment before we had to say goodbye. In the middle of so much heartbreak, He still gave us something so beautiful, and I will carry the memory of my dad beside me for the rest of my life.
Our wedding celebration this September is something Warden and I have looked so forward to, and it will be even more sacred now than we ever imagined. I will walk that aisle again knowing what it felt like to have my dad beside me, and hearing his voice in my memory as we begin our new chapter together. We ask for your love and your prayers as we celebrate and grieve and heal all at the same time, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you.

God has been so faithful, even here and even in this.” 🤍
