According to Kaybrie, they pushed for a private wedding on May 5th so her dad could walk her down the aisle. Just four days after the wedding, her father passed. But despite all the pain, Kaybrie is grateful to share the moment with her dad. She also mentioned members of the Bates family who helped manage the ceremony, such as Carlin, Evan, Kelly Jo, Josie, Ellie, Lydia, and Trace. “& many more, thank you. you all are amazing. you all are the reason we were able to do this 🤍🫶🏼,” she added. But aside from the venue, which was at Carlin’s new house, many Bringing Up Bates fans were surprised to see Kelly Jo’s efforts for her new daughter-in-law.

Some Bringing Up Bates fans on social media discussed Kelly Jo’s gesture for Kaybrie. Kaybrie recently shared that Kelly Jo was the one who helped find her wedding dress. Many fans were surprised by how revealing it was. There was also a discussion thread, speculating that Kelly Jo may have been upset about what Kaybrie wore.
