😭Today’s Very Sad News! A Member Of The Bates Family Has Passed Away
The 25-year-old Bringing Up Bates star posted an emotional video on Instagram this weekend, filming herself in a hospital bed as she tearfully said: “I just lost my baby.”
The video opened with clips documenting the early days of her pregnancy, including a positive pregnancy test and Bates buying a baby onesie. She later surprised her husband, Travis Clark, with the news that they were expecting.
Bates and Clark are already parents to two children – daughter Hailey, who turns three in February, and son Harvey, who is one year old.
In her caption for the video, Bates added: “I will spend the rest of my life missing you.”
The couple welcomed their first child, Hailey, in February 2023, followed by their son Harvey in September 2024.
Bates is one of 19 children born to Gil and Kelly Bates. The family starred on UPtv’s Bringing Up Bates for 10 seasons from 2015 to 2021.
Several of her siblings took to the comments section to offer their support. Her sister Carlin said: “My heart is broken for you. Love you, sis!”
Brother Lawson added: “We’re so, so sorry. Love you.”
Her parents shared a message from their joint social media account and said: “There’s no way to describe the pain of a loss like this. Our hearts are all broken, but we know we will meet this precious little one someday in glory.”
The post came the same day Gil and Kelly Bates celebrated the birth of another grandchild, welcoming their 38th grandchild, Theodore, the newborn son of Lawson Bates and his wife Tiffany.
