‘90 Day Fiancé’ star Patrick Mendes alleges ex Thais Ramone attacked him in the face
We now know what triggered “90 Day Fiancé” star Thais Ramone’s shocking domestic violence arrest.
Ramone was arrested May 22 in Nevada on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge — the same day news broke she and her now-estranged husband, Patrick Mendes, were getting a divorce. The charge was dropped two days later.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ Monday, Ramone’s arrest occurred after Mendes called police and claimed she “slapped him on the left side of his face with an open right hand” at her home.
Mendes said the argument, which occurred two days after he served her with divorce papers, was triggered when he brought their 3-year-old daughter, Aleesi, to say goodbye to her since she was leaving for Brazil, her home country.
An officer said Mendes, 36, also videotaped the slap and he had marks on his face consistent with his story.
Meanwhile, according to the report, Ramone told cops she acted in self-defense and called Mendes “controlling.”
Page Six reached out to Ramone’s rep but didn’t immediately receive a response.
Ramone appeared unbothered Monday as she celebrated her 30th birthday, sharing sexy snapshots of herself on Instagram. In one pic, she laid on a bed in a skintight black minidress with a cake which read “Spicy 30.”
“Spicy 30 🌶️ Cheers to another year! Through every lesson, every blessing, and every new beginning ❤️
happy birthday to me 🎈,” she wrote in the caption.
Ramone’s rep previously told Page Six that the reality star is focused on moving forward privately and protecting her family during “an emotionally difficult time.”
“While a misdemeanor allegation was made following a personal family dispute, the matter was reviewed by the District Attorney and the charge was ultimately dropped,” her rep told us. “We believe that outcome speaks for itself.”
“As with many deeply personal situations involving family and relationships, there are always complexities that the public may not fully see or understand,” the rep added.
Mendes and Ramone made their “90 Day Fiancé” debut on Season 9 in 2022, which documented Ramone moving from Brazil to the US to be with Mendes. They tied the knot on Feb. 22, 2022.
They’re also set to star in the upcoming season of “90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort,” which premieres June 1 will follow their journey in couple’s therapy.
