Pasty Kensit breaks silence on Emmerdale return as bosses confirm Sadie King comeback

As we revealed earlier this year, Patsy is set to make a highly-anticipated return to Emmerdale, reprising her iconic role as Sadie King.

 

Breaking her silence on her soap return, Patsy said: “I am really excited to return to Emmerdale.

“I treasure the years I was here before.

“Sadie King is a character that I really loved playing.

“The cast and crew are absolutely brilliant and I am so grateful for the chance to return to the show, it’s absolutely amazing.”

Sadie, the former wife of Jimmy King, arrived in 2004 with her devious demeanour and ruthless ambition.

Her biggest storyline saw her in a sizzling romance with Cain Dingle as they conspired to kidnap Tom King.

But Cain double‑crossed her and escaped with the £2million ransom, leaving Sadie with nothing.

Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw has said of the comeback: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Patsy Kensit back to the cast and crucially to see the iconic Sadie King storm back into the village.

“Her return will be explosive and guaranteed to shock.

“Sadie’s seductive demeanour, combined with her utterly ruthless nature, are set to deliver a spectacular and highly dramatic touch of class to the Yorkshire Dales.”

The Sun first revealed Patsy’s return last month.

Her comeback comes as Emmerdale and Coronation Street have cut cast pay to reflect filming fewer scenes this year in cost-cutting measures.

A source told us at the time: “This signing has been kept a top secret as bosses want Patsy’s return to shock fans.

“She is apparently delighted to be get her teeth back into the meaty role.

“Scriptwriters want to keep the show going with explosive plots and divisive characters.”

During Patsy’s tenure on Emmerdale, she was nominated for Sexiest Female and Soap B**h Of The Year.

Emmerdale airs at 8pm weeknights on ITV1 and STV.
